Today was one of those days you dream about. Between the hours of 9-5 I rode every single new 2016 KTM SX model. The 2016 KTM 125 SX, 150 SX, 250 SX-F, 350 SX-F and 450 SX-F. So what was new on the bikes? The question should be more like what was NOT new on the bikes. They really felt completely different to any KTM’s I have ever ridden before. They sit way lower at the back, and the geometry feels way more dialed.
All the Euro spec bikes have air forks as well which worked better for me than any WP forks I have tried before. The bikes are all super light and really don’t feel anything like their predecessors. This was a good thing for all but one of the models I thought. In fact I loved all of them except one model which I pretty much could not ride at all and it was the only bike I came in early from a session on. Which bike did I dislike? What was my favourite? What was a I fastest on? What was the most fun? What did all the other people think? Do you even care? Well, if you do, I will make a video as soon as I get the chance with some pretty sick footage from today, mainly of ex factory rider Josef Dobes who was absolutely killing it. For now, I am completely fucking knackered, met so many cool people today (whatup Supermoto central and Supermofools!) but I just about managed to put together some photos from today.
I was mainly shooting video, but have enough photos for a post thanks to Zajcmaster shooting a few photos of me and some others Dobes and I shot. If you want to know the technical lowdown on the new bikes check the new KTM website here.
