KTM Moto3 bike – derestricted photos

The KTM Moto3 bike is in the kiska studio today. First time I have seen the proper finished thing in the flesh and it’s pretty dam nice. Full Carbon fibre everywhere and ridiculously light. Wickedly uncomfortable to sit on though. For racing only. I snapped a few photos for you.

235+ km/h

52-55 BHP

Around 84 kg

249.5cc Four-stroke, single cylinder, liquid cooled, revving to a maximum of 14,000 rpm.

Awesome, love the elbow tuck-in shapes in the airbox/tank!

form follows function, in this case, to win. Actually must be wickedly good fun to ride. COuld pin it pretty much everywhere on the MotoGP tracks! Maybe even enough to distract you from how bloody uncomfortable it is :)

I had a look at Hondas moto3 bike when it was in the studio a while back, the tank is sooo dam narrow it looked like it’d split you in half under braking…

Very nice pictures of an incredible bike. What is the reservoir tank inside the right fairing?
