It’s Official: JS7 to Yoshimura Suzuki

They broke fairly often but I always loved the way the Suzuki RM’s handled. Owned 3 of them in my time. Looking forward to some good racing against Dungey in the outdoors soon.

Yoshimura Suzuki Racing is proud to announce the signing of famed Supercross and Motocross Champion, James Stewart, to a multi-year contract effective immediately. Stewart will compete in both AMA Pro Motocross and Supercross aboard the Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 beginning with the first round of the 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship in Sacramento, CA on May 19th, 2012.

“In the off season, I had become good friends with Mike Webb (Yoshimura Suzuki Team Manager) and we kept in casual contact. After I was released from my JGR deal I called Mike and told him that I’d love to ride for him in the Nationals. He said that he’d love to have me, but that he couldn’t pay me anything, and we laughed. For me, this is not about the money. This is about me being a racer, and wanting to go to the races with a real shot at winning.”

Video of him riding below.
Ok, the track is prepped really well, but he looks smoother than ever. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if he starts winning a lot again.

Ever since JS7 left Kawi, he’s never looked at home on the bike. Suddenly he looks like he’s home again… With so many heavy-hitters out with injuries, at least he’ll be there to make things interesting. Game on!!!
