Earth — Urban Outfitters

Video featuring voiceover by Timothy Leary and directed by Joe G., the director of the critically acclaimed surf film ‘Year Zero’ from Globe.

Nice sample, reminds me of the first Headz album, one of the first and greatest releases by the legendary Mo Wax records.

Jeez – thought I was having a flashback to ‘Nam’, “I love the smell of napalm in the morning…”

Quannum Spectrum & La Funk Mob for best ever Mo Wax releases.

Best ever, that’s tricky, couldn’t narrow it down to one, would have to be dj shadow – Endtroducing, Dr Octagon, DJ Krush – Meiso or MiLight, Blackalicious – NIA and of course Headz amongst others!

Yeah, good choices there – Blackalicious Nia’s a classic (love Burning Arrow too but it’s not on Mo Wax – shame).

Can’t forget UNKLE – for the ability to turn every designer into a miserable, headphoned, introvert… and wanting to futura 2000 everything.

Loved La Funk Mob 12″ though – just constantly played it over an over – phew, vinyl was hard work.

Haha true, talking of headphones and not on mo wax either, but Funky Porcini – Hed Phone Sex came out around that time and was on constant rotation too.

Yep – A whole slurry of Ninja tune stuff was constant for me – Herbaliser somewhere near the top.

DJ Greyboy is still my goto turntablist/acid jazzist though.

Yep like Madlib’s stuff. Jeez – Neneh looks well scary in that :)

Funny though I’m having a bit of punk/metal/NYHC (cro-mags etc) phase at the moment, I must be angry :)

A few more days of this sunshine and I’ll be breaking out the Nicola Conte and mixing mojito’s.
