Cold data out today too. U-6 Total unemployed for the US rose to 17.5%. Even the smallest measure rose, to 10.2% in October, topping the 10% mark for the first time in 26 years.
Nonfarm payrolls dropped in October, bringing the total number of jobs lost in the recession to 7.3 million (at the lowest count). It was the 22nd straight decline in payrolls.
