Day Three of the ISDE Six Days Enduro saw KTM factory rider Eero Remes top the overall standings at the half way mark of the competition in the E1 class on the rain soaked piste of Southern Finland. KTM’s Kurt Caselli of Team USA also leads the E2 standings after Day Three.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Riders battled extreme conditions after continual rain had softened the course over past days. The slippery track demanded absolute concentration on the bike and creeks that should have been only a few centimeters deep were near to 50 cm.
The third day of the competition of this traditional annual offroad event saw Team Finland, led by Remes, continue to surge ahead in the national competition as riders made full use of the home track advantage. Spain and USA, reinforced with KTM riders, follow in second and third overall. In the individual Day Three Results Remes placed second with Spanish rider Lorenzo Santolino, Antti Hellsten of Finland and Mario Roman of Spain the next best KTM riders in the World Trophy competition at five, six and seven respectively.
