F1 Tracker by Marcus Moto Design

F1 Tracker by Marcus Moto Design

Words from Marcus:
Base for this concept is a Ducati 996 2001, bought mildly crashed.

The F1 Tracker concept developed from a vision of the ultimate slim, nimble, lightweight and powerful street bike. Taking the already light and tiny Ducati 996 superbike and giving it a minimalistic treatment with new ergonomics for great handling in the city or on the local supermoto racetrack.

The slim design vision out ruled any side mounted air intakes as on the original 996. Inspiration from 1975 F1 Ferrari shows both in paint scheme and in air intake shape and placement.

The all carbonfibre one piece bodywork shows a new aggressive design with clear inspiration from both 1970s F1 cars and 1980s MX crosser. Carbonfibre bracket arms for radiator and side mounted headlight as well as air intake design are never seen before solutions in the motorcycle industry.
The concept could very well be transformed into a production model with shape and size still intact for a customer category that wants a no compromise racer for the street.
The concept shows how an no-compromise ducati supermoto/dirttrack racer for the street could look like.
The one piece carbonfibre bodywork with aggressive air scoop design feeding the engine with cold air is designed and fabricated by Marcus Moto Design.

Paint by Arnold’s Custom Art.
The triple trees are designed using 3D CAD system by Marcus Moto Design and then milled byThorbjörn Hjorter. The design of the triple tree and the position of the handle bar was to get the airscoop as close as possible to the main body. The rearsets, gear and brake levers are also designed in 3D CAD by Marcus Moto Design.

The wheels are Ducati 848 originally. Brakes are Brembo radials. The Ohlins fork is custom made with latest World Superbike cutout design on the legs.

The unique carbonfibre bracket arms that hold the radiator and sidemounted projector light have an organic shape.

Battery and all electronics are located underneath the seat inside a carbonfibre box for easy access. The bodywork is easily removed with only 6 bolts. The “seat” is all carbonfibre but another upholstered version in brown leather is planned so the future owner can choose how hard he wants to ride. :-)

The F1 Tracker is for sale! To finance the next concept bike build. This is a one-off concept bike and it will not be cheap but still in level with any mainstream American chopper builder.

Sponsors: Avon (tyres), Pro Bolt (special bolts), Austin Racing (silencer) and Chrisse at Italiabike Center.

I’m bugging piers for like 4 years for ktm to do a dirt tracker based on superduke or even rc8 engine, and a style evoking neo retro to give a soulful feeling to the bike as a bike can’t only be mean, it has to move you physically and in your heart, I guess this bike does that plain and simple.
Super thumb up for this soulful project, I wish I could try it.
